From June 19 to 21, 2026, the next, eleventh edition of the Józef Świder International Music Festival will take place in Cieszyn and several other Silesian towns.

The Festival program will include: an international choral competition, festival concerts in several towns of Silesia, and a nationwide scientific conference.

Let us recall that the initiator of this artistic-scientific event, which is patronized by the distinguished Polish composer Józef Świder, is Prof. Izabella Zielecka-Panek, and the main organizer is the University of Silesia in Katowice.

For last year’s edition of the Festival, its preparation and organization were supported with his extensive knowledge of the life and work of Józef Świder by the composer’s beloved grandson Andrzej Śnioszek, the only one tragically deceased on May 9, 2025 – co-founder and vice-president of the Józef Świder Foundation.
